The back deck is kind of a Maya ceremonial platform from which you can stand and survey the kingdom. You can eat your breakfast on the cartomb/pyramid, gather with your friends and watch the birds at dawn/sunset, grab some fresh shrimp and fire up the Tikal-inspired barbecue, or climb the first flying concrete steps ever built in Belize to the roof where the view is even better and the breeze refreshing.
There is a rock-art turtle that disguises the septic tank handles, and inlaid glass marbles that catch the light on the sunny steps.
Also you will note a 45' wide mural of a 2" passion flower on the back wall.
Sadly the overly-ambitious pergola shade structure has been removed since this photo was taken.
